Young Chemical Product Mix and Sales Focus
Young Chemical Company has avoided handling most flammable products, allowing us to concentrate on value-added
products that earn better returns for our customers' businesses. Historically, sales consisted of many dry
commodities and liquid alkalis, but over the years, our focus has turned to surfactants and specialty chemical markets.
Our largest customers are comprised of compounders for Industrial, Institutional, and Household Care Products,
Personal Care, Metal Finishing, Water Treatment, and Food Industries. Success in these areas has drawn us
toward the Lubrication, Paint and Coating, Inks, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical Processing industries.
In 1998 and 1999, we added Chemical Processing and Blending capabilities to offer our customers a broader range
of products and services. This continues as an important new area permitting our customers to concentrate on
the areas of their businesses that are most important and profitable for them.
