| John Bennett, Operations Manager: B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Cincinnati John spent 14 years with a full service environmental company, Clean Harbors, before joining Young Chemical as our Operations Manager. He is credited with developing and implementing our ISO 9001:2000 Certification, the Responsible Distribution Process compliance, the company's first formal Safety Program, and the selection and installation of all the process equipment we currently use. John employs a "hands on" management technique and all products produced are originally run on a "pilot plant" system with the necessary procedures first being determined and tested before scale-up occurs. Robert Gorczyca, Plant Manager: B.S. in Chemistry from Cleveland State University Bob came to Young Chemical from a local firm specializing is custom blended oils and lubricant products. In his 17 year tenure he worked his way from Maintenance Assistant to Technical Director. During this process he was a Shift Blending Foreman as well as the Laboratory Manager. Areas of expertise included formulating new product or matches of products using particle counters, FTIR, GC, rust cabinet, X-Ray Fluorescence and Saponification numbers. Bob is a member of the American Chemical Society as well as the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE). Bob is our Plant Manager and is the person directly in charge of day to day operations. Susan Pietraroia, Quality Assurance Chemist: B.S. from Cleveland State with emphasis on Chemical Engineering. Sue is our Quality Assurance Chemist in charge of all laboratory testing. As a member of our team for five years, Sue has built our lab from the bottom up. Her familiarity, developed over the years, with the materials we handle is a valuable asset in the analysis of new products and processes.
